Also 27, all I remember is being at my grandparents place not being able to watch The Simpsons because every channel was covering the same news story. I remember the smoking buildings, I don't remember making anything of it.

Great article though, I've thought about this a lot too. I never related very well to most people, but for a long time I thought it was just about being out of sync with my own age group. But nah, seems to be most people in general.

Every "generation" has all kinds, even the boomers were more than 99% just people who didn't do much to change the world as drastically as us youngsters are always claiming.

The real separation is between social classes - between the hyper rich and everyone else.
