Highlighting Colour Test [[Live Over]]

Introduction

Some text to highlight — no publication to start, so I can attempt to control the colour through the profile design workspace.

And fuck it, why not sign it too?

Tl;dr

No progress was made until test 7; by test 16, it was discovered that everyone should at least see the same colours from pieces within publications, which seems to follow the accent colour.

However, in all my tests, the highlighting colour seems to adjust to the background. Being self-published or published in my publication, doesn’t matter, follows the background.

So I have NO clue.

It’s just one of those Medium things.

Testing Phase

test 0 — my default view of my own work with a dark background and white accent colour. Do you see this as well?

test 1 — changing accent colour to red had no effect on highlighting, it’s still grey.

test 2 — changing background colour to yellow had no effect on highlighting, it’s still grey.

test 3 — changing the header colour to red/green gradient had no effect on
