I'm not sure if I've told you of the time a girl and I walked down a path with a teenage black bear ~60 feet behind us for at least 45 minutes in the Canadian Rockies? I have video of each end of the interaction. We wanted to check out the lake, the same one from the time I bear sprayed myself, if you've read that one on here--

Of course, we never got to see the lake. Then, as a bigger group, we all went out to see a different lake...

Another black bear popped up, but we all walked in the same direction, with the width of the street between us. Until a grizzly appeared (we noticed the black bear stop first, then looked ahead of it), and chased after the black bear, while we ran back to the building.

We never got to see any lakes that day.

There were also numerous bears around when I was growing up farther north in Ontario, Canada.

I wouldn't fuck with any of them, but left alone, they're usually pretty chill.
