Oh, that's terrible!!! I understand more and more when you say the place is usually geared towards people who've been homeless for years. Those rugs were made dirt cheap. It would drive me crazy too... I hate vacuuming, and only do it every other day to keep James from sneezing with his dust allergy. And no tracks. I didn't even know that was a real thing... from what I've found, there's no way to fix it either, unless you want to get a rug for your rug!!

No hot water in the shower should also be a crime... I remember you saying you've had to boil water for baths before, and I could hardly believe it, even for being government run. 😬

It's amazing the magic you've been able to write in those conditions!!!! I'm happy you've been accepted into the other building. 💓 And even if something somehow weirdly fell through, you stayed on all those waiting lists. Something better would have to come up eventually.
