This is the issue with everything becoming social media. Creators are forced to socialize when they should be focused on their craft, and not everyone reciprocates anyway, so it isn't always worth it. That's why I only read what I want to read, clap if I liked it, highlight because I can't not, comment if I want to say anything, and don't depend on Medium as a primary source of income.
