How to disagree — If you completely disagree with something a writer has written, rather than launching into a diatribe about why they are completely, stupidly wrong, perhaps begin by praising something about the article, such as its excellent use of punctuation, or its brevity and conciseness. Then phrase your disagreement in such a way that you could remain friends even if you beg to differ, and also finish your comment with something else to maintain rapport, such as how awful the weather is in the UK, which is always a safe bet. Also avoid capitals in comments which comes across as SHOUTING!
